About Prophetic Love
Prophetic Love is a Sunni Islamic resource dedicated to a single, essential truth: that love for the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ and his noble family — the Ahl al-Bayt — is not optional, not sectarian, and not secondary. It is a Qur’ānic obligation, a prophetic command, and a pillar of the faith that every Muslim must understand and embrace.
Our Approach
Every article on this site is written from firmly within the Sunni tradition. We draw on the Qur’ān, the authenticated ḥadīth collections — Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, and the broader classical corpus — and the works of the great Imāms and scholars of this Ummah. We cite our sources. We distinguish between what is authenticated and what is not. We present the strongest possible case for this love, because the case deserves nothing less.
Our Language Policy
We make no apologies for the care with which we speak of the Prophet’s family ﷺ. Every name is given its full, proper title. Sayyiduna ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib رضي الله عنه is never simply “Ali.” Sayyidah Fāṭimah al-Zahrā’ رضي الله عنها is never simply “Fatima.” The Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ is never referred to without the ṣalawāt. This is not affectation — it is adab, the Islamic courtesy that the classical scholars considered inseparable from true knowledge.
Why We Need This
This site is for every Sunni Muslim who wants to understand the evidence for loving the Prophet’s family ﷺ — clearly, deeply, and without sectarian confusion. It is for those who have been told this love is a Shia matter and need to hear otherwise. It is for students of knowledge who want careful scholarly analysis. It is for parents who want to teach their children about the Ahl al-Bayt. And it is for anyone whose heart already carries this love and wants that love nourished with knowledge.
May Allāh ﷻ accept this effort, purify our intentions, and increase us all in love for His Beloved ﷺ and the noble family he left behind. Āmīn.
